MEET THE PRODUCERS

Shores has written, directed and produced for film, network and cable television, and theatre.  His most recent film, a hybrid adaptation of his GLAAD Award-winning play Southern Baptist Sissies, won fifteen film festival awards including 8 Audience Awards and is available on all platforms.  His film, Blues For Willadean, is an adaptation of his NAACP Award-winning play The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife starring Beth Grant, Dale Dickey and Academy Award-winner Octavia Spencer.  A film adaptation of his play Daddy’s Dyin’ (Who’s Got The Will?) was released by MGM and Propaganda Films. Shores wrote and directed the film version of his play Sordid Lives starring Beau Bridges, Delta Burke, Olivia Newton-John, Bonnie Bedelia, Leslie Jordan and Beth Grant with many of the actors from the original stage cast. Sordid Lives: The Series, a television series prequel to the film, premiered on Viacom’s LOGO network in 2008, and Shores created, wrote, directed and executive produced all 12 episodes.  Shores’ seven plays have run for over six years collectively in Los Angeles where they all premiered and won numerous awards from GLAAD, the NAACP, the LA Drama Critic’s Circle, LA Stage Alliance, LA Weekly and Backstage.  Find more information on his Facebook page HERE.

Emerson Collins

Producer

Collins is an actor, producer and TV personality who starred for four seasons on BRAVO's The People's Couch. He produced and starred in Southern Baptist Sissies, winning Best Actor in a Feature Film from the Red Dirt International Film Festival. In 2015, Emerson starred in the regional theatre premiere of the one man show Buyer & Cellar winning the Desert Theatre League Award for Best Actor in a Comedy.  Emerson co-hosted "The Del & Emerson Show," UBN Radio's number one podcast for two years.  Emerson produced Blues For Willadean, the film adaptation of the NAACP Award-winning play The Trials and Tribulations of a Trailer Trash Housewife starring Beth Grant, Dale Dickey and Octavia Spencer. As Vice-President of Development for Del Shores Productions, Emerson co-produced Sordid Lives: The Series for MTV's LOGO, and produced A Season of Shores and the national tour of  and Sordid Lives.  He also produced the world premiere of Shores' play Yellow, selected as Critic's Choice by the LA Times, LA Weekly and Backstage and winner of the LA Drama Critics Circle Award for Best Production.  Emerson also directed and produced the live DVD tapins of Shores' one man shows Del Shores: My Sordid Life, Del Shores: Sordid Confessions and Del Shores: Naked. Louise H. Beard

Executive Producer

Louise H. Beard is a Tony-winning producer for A Gentleman’s Guide to Murder and produced the world premiere of the three-time Tony nominated A Christmas Story. Broadway producing credits include Ragtime (7 Tony/8 Drama Desk nominations), Finian’s Rainbow (3 Tony/8 Drama Desk nominations), The Pee-Wee Herman Show, The Scottsboro Boys, Priscilla Queen of the Desert, Porgy and Bess, Nice Work If You Can Get It, and Ghost, the Musical. Off Broadway and National Tour producing work includes Through the Night, Leslie Jordan’s My Trip Down the Pink Carpet, A Sordid Affair and the LA Drama Critic’s Circle Award-winning world premiere of Del Shores’ Yellow. She produced the DVD’s of Del Shores: My Sordid Life and Del Shores: Sordid Confessions, and was an Executive Producer for Blues For Willadean.
